Wiki EARTH Capacity and Needs Survey

Dear Respondent,

This survey intends to inquire on familiarities with East African Regional and Thematic Hub.

Hubs is a name for organizational units in the Wikimedia movement supporting more than one volunteer community. Hubs are imagined to be regional (geographic, e.g. Central Eastern Europe) and thematic. They will be either an enhancement of existing entities, collaborations between affiliates, or new structures formed for a specific purpose.

As a Wikimedia contributor, you have been identified to participate in this survey to help the East African Regional and Thematic Hub (EARTH) steering committee, and general community answer the two following questions:

  1. What are some of the thematic areas that you think a HUB should focus on?
  2. How should a hub look like in the region (eg. in terms of Structure)

Your responses will be strictly used for this purpose only and will be handled confidentially and anonymously with no disclosure of your identity or workplace whatsoever.

Participation in this survey is voluntary and will take no more than 15 minutes. If you cannot complete the survey in one sitting, your answers will be saved so you can return to the survey when you have more time.

The survey will close on March 1, 2023.

By continuing to the next page, you agree to the terms of participation in this survey and you have understood the information provided above and therefore you voluntarily consent to participate.
